David Hudson grew up in the United Kingdom, and moved to Texas in 1991. He now studies and teaches British and Irish history at Texas A&M University. His scholarship focuses principally on the centuries-long relationship between Britain and Ireland and on Britain’s many attempts to govern and administer Ireland effectively – particularly over the course of the last two hundred years. Dr. Hudson is a past President of the Western Conference on British Studies (WCBS).
