Biography:
Julia Erin Wood received her PhD in History and African American Studies from Yale University in 2011, and began teaching at Texas A&M University in the fall of 2011. Dr. Wood specializes in twentieth century United States History, post-emancipation African American History, and transnational U.S. History. She is currently working on a book manuscript titled, Freedom is Indivisible: The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), Cold War Politics, and International Liberation Movements.
